2nd Thursday in Advent - Errand Day & More

"It is a sad fact that the most apostate council in the history of the Church closed on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary."

Archbishop Fulton Sheen - the cause for his canonization -

There was a memorial mass held yesterday in St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC

To Do List:
1.  Sam's Club shopping - make list first, duh.
2.  Make a sugar free desert for Respect Life Cmte. meeting
3.  Reread Castii Canubi
     RL cmtee growth
4.  First Communion Lapbook copies for Mary
5.  Jesse Tree Ornaments, Holy Hero's, the new story book about Jesse Tree's

Quote of the Day:
"Nothing so prevents us from perfecting ourselves in the vocation we have as wishing for another."
St. Jane Francis de Chantal

it's a keeper!

Goal:  I want to learn this prayer.  I am going to have the girls make the chaplets (as seen here: http://ebeth.typepad.com/reallearning/2009/11/st-andrew-chaplets.html  and here:   )
It is such a glorious prayer.  The 15 times a day threw me off - sounded to big to accomplish.
But, no more.

St. Andrew Novena

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.

(It is piously believed that whoever recites the above prayer fifteen times a day from the feast of St. Andrew (30th November) until Christmas will obtain what is asked.)

Imprimatur
+MICHAEL AUGUSTINE, Archbishop of New York
New York, February 6, 1897
